5 PRINCIPLES

FREE OF CHARGE

Participants do not pay for participation in EdCamps, including this online one. This strict condition guarantees equal opportunities for everyone.

dove 1.png

INDEPENDENCE

EdCamps have no ‘curators’ from the state or business sector. Everyone is free to express their thoughts, participate in discussions, and stand their ground.

microphone 1.png

EVERYONE CAN BE A SPEAKER

If you’re an EdCamp regular, you have the right to speak up. Everyone is free to share their experience in this uniting atmosphere. The online format requires that facilitation of teachers’ session is conducted before the event: first through registration, them through voting by registered participants.

footprints 1.png

LAW OF TWO FEET APPLIES

Participants are free to decide which sessions they attend and how much time they spend there. This will eliminate irrelevant or unappealing presentations. You can also move webrooms during online EdCamp anytime.

kite 1.png

LONG TAIL EFFECT

The most interesting part is the one after EdCamp ends! Communicating with each other (through webroom chats as well) people find new connections that bring new ideas. This is what ‘long tail effect’ is about.

5 DAYS of PROGRAM

Anti-crisis National Online EdCamp will last for five days. Every day will start in the afternoon (mornings are saved for school lessons), cover one of the focus areas, and include each of the five speaker sections.

The event qualifies as professional development for teachers in accordance with new requirements.

schedule 1.png

The schedule of the sessions is provided below, in the ‘magic square’ of ‘5 x 5 Program.’

positive-thinking 1.png

Every day, before and after the main part of the program, the participants will be offered simple and effective exercises for attention training, resourcing, relaxing, and calming down from the social, emotional, and ethical learning curriculum (SEEL, soft skills development). These exercises can be easily done at home.

GET CONNECTED

No competitive selection

There will be no competitive selection this time — we will invite all 5,000 people who get registered first (unfortunately, we weren’t able to find a platform to host more people in this format). All presentations will be available online later.

Certificate granted

If you need one, you will be able to receive a certificate on professional development in accordance with the new requirements of the Education Ministry. For this, you will be asked to be very attentive during the event, take notes at the sessions you’ll listen to, and file an online form afterwards. Based on your responses, we’ll decide on whether you qualify for a certificate, for EdCamp Ukraine never confirms anything without making sure it’s OK to do so.

ONLINE HIGH FIVE!

This event is organized to support educators and parents, and participation is free of charge. If you, whether you participate in the event or not, are willing to say ‘thank you’ to all those who help our children learn amidst these difficult times, and support Ukrainian education, there are several options to do so.

You can add a special support frame ‘High Five for Education!’ to your profile picture in social media.

Or you can support EdCamp movement development in Ukraine on Spilnokosht crowdfunding platform in exchange for practical and optimistic gifts with our new branding.
